Professional Activities
Thomas N. Yeager is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Board of Governors of the Maryland State Bar Association, the 2nd Judicial Circuit Bar Association, and the Kent County Bar Association of which he is the immediate past President. He is also the immediate past President of the Maryland Municipal Attorney's Association. He served as a member of the Governor's Executive Advisory Council on Criminal Justice Matters from 1991 to 1995; and served as the legal advisor to the Kent County Narcotics Task Force from 1991 to 1996 and in 1998. Mr. Yeager is a past member of the National District Attorney's Association and the Maryland State's Attorney's Association. From 2003 to 2007, he served as a member of the Trial Courts Judicial Nominating Commission. From 2004 until December 2012 when Kent County established an in house office of law, he was the County Attorney. He currently serves as special legal counsel to the County Commissioners of Kent County. He is the Town Attorney for the municipalities of Betterton, Galena, and Chesapeake City, Maryland, and is the attorney for the Kent County Department of Social Services. Mr. Yeager is also an accomplished radio broadcaster and on-air host. He is currently heard on weekends on WCEI 96.7 FM in Easton, Maryland.
